Looking at the new control tower this week, we can see the pre-cast concrete flared section is nearing full height. You can just see the sections above the screening. These pieces may look small up on the tower but they are around 3 metres tall (each piece) and weigh tonnes. They are assembled like big pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, side by side and on top of each other. See the 5DME Photo Gallery 2 for more images of the project since construction began last year.
Hopefully this process will be finished soon and we will start to see the construction of the control room on top.
