P8 Poseidons at Edinburgh RAAF Base

On Monday 18th June 2012, 5DME attended the RAAF Base at Edinburgh, South Australia for a look at a US Navy P8 aircraft. For those that have been following this story, the P8 will be replacing the RAAF Orion fleet. Eight of these amazing aircraft are heading our way. The P8s are to replace the RAAF’s aging Orion fleet by 2018 with 8 being delivered by that time. James Detwiler from Boeing explains the p8 and many of its features.
