South Australia Spring Aviation Events for 2011
Port Augusta Aero Club (Fly-in)
First up on October 29th we have the Port Augusta Aero Club Fly-in held in conjunction with the RFDS. There will be a Hangar Dinner on the Saturday night to support the Royal Flying Doctor Service. The Roulettes and the Air Force Balloon will be making an appearance on the day. This is a FREE COMMUNITY EVENT. Tickets for the Hangar Dinner are available from the Port Augusta Aero Club. Barossa Air Show
Next, the Barossa Air Show is to be held on the 6th of November at Rowland Flat just out of Lyndoch, South Australia.
The day begins at 10:00am and finishes at 4:00pm.
- See aircraft from all vintages, old and new.
- Three of Australia’s top aerobatic champions will be there giving displays that must be seen to believed.
- Helicopter rides will be run all day by local business Barossa Helicopters.
- The RAAF Roulettes will be on display.
There will be plenty to see in the air and on the ground too.
- Food & wines.
- Art & craft stalls.
- Sideshows and interesting exhibits.
