Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting

Aviation Media and News since 2008

Adelaide Airport Fire Service

Adelaide Facility

The Adelaide Airport Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting Facility is located in the centre of the airfield adjacent the runway intersection.

There are three Rosenbauer Fire/Rescue vehicles on site. Although the term “vehicles” does not do them justice, they’re huge. I had one come up behind me in my car with sirens and lights (the works)…. Very impressive in the rearview mirror. Of course, I pulled over to let them through – without argument 🙂

OVERSIZE

A size comparison to the car parked alongside does not do true justice.

The vehicles are pretty tech looking, like something off the TV show “Thunderbirds” (for those who remember).
